2007:
Hi!
I am in the beginning stages of writing a book
with the tentative title, Full-Time RVing: Silver, Single, Solo &
Serendipitously, A Twenty-Year Tale. Along with a revision of my Alaska
book, it should be ready by January 2008.
2008:
O.K. You caught me! Although the book I mentioned above is a work
in progress, it isn’t done yet. However,
I am well into the revision of the RVing Alaska book. I’ll tell you that story under the RVing
Alaska and Canada Book 2008 comments.
For
various reasons, and for the very first time, I stayed in my North Ranch digs
near Congress, Arizona through the summer (2007).
I didn’t mind it as much as I thought I would even though I really,
really, really don’t like hot weather. Once
it got close to and into the triple digits, I learned quickly to go from AC
(Office) to AC (House) to AC (Car).
I
worked outside and went into town for groceries, or did my daily walk from
before dawn until about 9 a.m. When we
finally got rain (And most of the time it circled around us), it was extremely
pleasant for about two weeks. That is when
I enjoyed the heck out of my back deck which is mostly in the limbs of a big old
mesquite tree in Saguaro Park.
Perhaps
another reason I didn’t mind it so much was that the campground was empty (I
live across from it) and with only about 40 lots occupied in the rest of the
park, it was quiet, quiet, quiet! The
biggest reason was probably that I had September and my Alaska trip to look
forward to and I’ll tell you that story under the RVing Alaska book comments.
In
fact, I’ll tell you a bit about my year within the 2008 comments under each
book.
Happy Travels!
