When I go back and look over the books about my travels, I am reminded again how blessed I have been over the last 20+ years to go the places I have gone and done the things I’ve done. I have revisited many of the places told about in this book. In Chapter 11 I write about visiting Stehekin, a tiny place at the north end of Lake Chelan in Washington State only reached by boat. In that chapter I talk about taking my granddaughter, Rebecca, but I also took Jane, the lady I called my mother, to visit there for a day.

A day trip is fun but another time when my best friend, Linda Bassett, visited me from Indiana, we planned to stay overnight in one of their cabins for two nights. We were having so much fun biking to the falls (and the bakery) and just enjoying the magnificent scenery of the surrounding North Cascades National Park from the deck, that we stayed another night. Linda did her first kayaking when we went to visit some petroglyphs on a cliff overhanging the lake. We have vowed to go again.

That is the neat thing about RVing, revisiting special memories. I have since also revisited the NE part of our country a little more thoroughly on my third visit and took “The Cat” over to Nova Scotia. That was fun but rather foggy. My one regret is that I haven’t returned to Chaco Culture National Historic Site in NW New Mexico. If you visit this place, stay a few days and get into the ancient moment. Maybe someday.

But I’ll leave you to exploring the country via RVing Adventures with the Silver Gypsy. Have a good time and if you feel a presence while you are enjoying a campfire somewhere, it is probably me!

Review:

"One of the more appealing aspects of Charlie's books is the relaxed conversational writing style. She makes you feel right from page one that you are sitting around the campfire or sharing an early morning cup of coffee with a friend."

THIS IS A GREAT BOOK FOR

THOSE CONTEMPLATING THE LIFESTYLE but HAVEN’T A CLUE WHAT IT ENTAILS,

FOR ARMCHAIR READERS WHO WANT VICARIOUS ADVENTURE IN

THEIR OWN LIVES,

FOR ANYONE WANTING TO RV, WHETHER FULL-TIME, PART-TIME,

OR VACATION-TIME.

GOD BLESS

FROM THE SILVER GYPSY
