Wow! It’s already 2008. Even though I didn’t RV nearly as much in 2007, I have enjoyed the time immensely. It has just been totally different than moving around so often as I did during my full-timing years.
During summer 2007, I spent a lot of time working on fiction - basically to no avail - but you never know when Ophra will put me on the best seller list (When I actually publish that Great American Novel!) I worked on revising chapters of other books and I also spent a lot of time thinking and dreaming - come on - that’s important when you’re a writer! And besides, I had to plan for that Alaska trip. I am still working on, "Full-Time RVing: Silver, Single, Solo & Serendipitously, A Twenty-Year Tale," (Still a tentative title), but other things have taken precedence.
Right after the four September weeks that I spent flying/renting an RV in Alaska, I flew to VA to visit my younger daughter and her family. My WA kids are coming for a few days March of 2008. I haven’t seen them for almost two years. Although I don’t usually let that much time lapse between hugs, they were moving and establishing a new job and household and I decided to visit sometime this spring or summer (or both). (Don’t panic kids, I won’t spend the entire time with you.) At
any rate, I hope you’ll enjoy reading “RVING ADVENTURES WITH THE SILVER
GYPSY.” It was a
lot of fun living it and readers tell me that shows through. It gives you an
idea what the RVing lifestyle is like on a day I have revisited (You do a lot of that after 22 years!) many of the places written about in RVing Adventures, some of which I will cover in the new book. Except for the major growth of some areas and the complete dying of smaller places, things hadn’t changed much. I stopped to experience different places and activities and meet new people. With that, I’ll leave you to jump into RVing Adventures with the Silver Gypsy. I hope you’ll not only enjoy it immensely, but go and experience your own adventures. Review: "One of the more appealing aspects of Charlie's books is the relaxed conversational writing style. She makes you feel right from page one that you are sitting around the campfire or sharing an early morning cup of coffee with a friend." THIS IS A GREAT READ FOR THOSE CONTEMPLATING THE LIFESTYLE but HAVEN’T A CLUE WHAT IT ENTAILS, FOR ARMCHAIR READERS WHO WANT VICARIOUS ADVENTURE IN THEIR OWN LIVES, FOR ANYONE WANTING TO RV WHETHER FULL-TIME, PART-TIME, OR VACATION-TIME. ENJOY THE BOOK! LAUGH! LOVE! ENJOY LIFE! AND GOD BLESS FROM THE SILVER GYPSY
