2009:

          This book on full-timing was written at the beginning of when people really began to get the idea of what full-time RVing was all about and were very curious about it. We were both parked in the desert at Quartzsite, sharing campfires with others of the same interests. We decided to write a book together but we had no idea just how that would work out. We were less often together than we were separated by many miles and many states. We sat down one afternoon and soon found that our ideas were very different even on the same subject. Bill had not been full-timing for as long as I had but his expertise was far greater on the technical end of things.

          After a few false starts, we decided that we would each write whatever chapters we had the most interest in and the most knowledge about. I can’t remember now if we chose titles then or later, but we divided the chapters evenly. Many moons later, we got together and read each other’s material and put the book together. What we found most amazing and amusing was that we each had a writing sense of humor that was very much alike!

          This book has very good information but you will, at this point in time, find that electronics, GPS systems, and communications have changed greatly. Information on finances, driving techniques, maintenance, RV systems, boondocking, safety, and other “Nuts and Bolts” stuff will still be as valid today as when we wrote the book. 

          I think you will find the information and suggestions of two rogue full-timers helpful in enjoying your RVing lives.
